Garage door rollers attach the garage door to the garage door tracks and allow the garage door to open and close smoothly. Pull out the hinge away from the door and then old roller out of the sleeve in the hinge. Engineers will connect the door and set up all the controls testing them to make sure everything is operating as planned. The installation team will call when they re on their way and will arrive at the pre arranged time.

When you have replaced the bottom 4 rollers you ll realize that you won t be able to replace the top one because it won t line up with the opening in the track. Pry the roller out of the track with your screwdriver so you can replace it with the new one. The first phase of the replacement process involves unplugging the opener and pulling the manual release cord. Align the mounting holes on the hinge with those on the door.

Add brackets and rollers before setting them in place and stack one section on top of another toenailing as you go up. As with the other garage door rollers the new roller can just slide into the old bracket. Once on site they will remove your old door if there is one and install your new garage door. The alignment should be perfect for screws to go through.

Replace all except the top rollers on the side you re working on.
